According to urbandictionary.com, Tuesday is defined as: "The most random day of the week. Really, it is. All the other days have something going for it, but not tuesday." Well, urban dictionary, you're wrong! On this delightful Tuesday, I had the pleasure of interviewing the lovely Sarah Cunningham of Cunningham Love Story.

What inspired you to start your blog?
I have always loved writing. When I
was in the 6th grade, my teacher told me I should be a writer. I
quickly realized that writing was more of a hobby than an actual “job
description.” I wanted to continue to love it, not despise it. I love reading
other people’s blogs though which inspired me to start my own. I thought to
myself, “If they can do it, why can’t I?” I think a lot of us are scared that
we won’t succeed like other people & that’s why we don’t participate in
something we want to do. I decided that I wanted to do something that I
enjoyed. That’s why I started my blog.
Is blogging your profession or just a hobby?
Blogging is definitely a hobby for
me. It gives me something to do in my free time. I recently finished school
& that gave me a lot more downtime. I still work, but I’m not constantly
studying or having to run to class. Blogging is a way for me to stay “busy”
& keep my creative side in tact.
How do you motivate yourself to keep your blog up and
running?
Honestly, I motivate myself by
reading other people’s blogs. When I read someone else’s blog & see their
perspective on something or an idea they have, it motivates me to continue to
pursue my blogging dream. I’d love to be a famous blogger one day, but right
now, I am just enjoying the learning experience!
How much time do you spend blogging?
I spend A LOT of my free time
blogging. It’s something I really love doing, so it doesn’t seem like a
“chore.” I try to publish a post at least 3 times a week. I think that blogging
consistently will allow people to become more dedicated readers compared to
someone who blogs randomly.
Tell me about your proudest achievement.
My proudest achievement would be
when I received my Bachelor’s degree in May. These days, a lot of people are
stuck in college forever. When I started, I made it my goal to finish in
exactly four years. I wanted in & out as fast as possible. I hit some bumps
along the way—I had to go to community college first because it was cheaper, my
dad passed away during my freshman year, I wasn’t sure if I would ever get to
go to an actual university because of transfer problems, etc. But I did it. In
May, I finally got to walk across the stage & get my diploma (or a blue
book that would eventually hold my diploma when the university finally mailed
them out). I think that is probably my proudest achievement.
What do you do in your spare time?
In my spare time, I love to blog
(clearly). I also enjoy spending time with my husband, Andrew, & our new
pup, Murphy. We’re avid Netflix watchers—probably a little too avid. We also
love to drive around & look at houses & talk about what our “dream
house” would be one day. It might be kind of weird, but it’s something we
absolutely love to do.
Do you have any specific goals for the remainder of 2015?
My goals for the remainder of 2015
are to continue to grow my blog & stay consistent with it. I will celebrate
my “one year blog-anniversary” on March 1st, so I hope to have grown
my blog quite a bit by then! Other than that, I’m going to enjoy the rest of
what 2015 has in store for my family & I’m going to anticipate Christmas
time (which is my favorite time of year)!
